Explain the Scanner class?

Why we import Scanner class ?

The Java Scanner class is widely used to parse text for strings and primitive types using a regular expression. It is the simplest way to get input in Java. By the help of Scanner in Java, we can get input from the user in primitive types such as int, long, double, byte, float, short, etc

in simple language it is used to read input to java programs

simply Scanner is used to take any input from user as per their requirement.
But the input depends on the datatype, which datatype is mentioned in the coding according to that user can give input from keyboard

and all these above instance methods will get memory within that scanner class

like in c language we used printf and scanf
